You sit down, take one look at the test and totally freeze. You are not alone. there are many who suffer from test anxiety.

In this article, there are different tips that can help you become a better test taker. It also contains methods to help you stress less before and during your very important test.

•    A healthy and hearty (high protein -low carbohydrate) breakfast the morning of the test. 
•    Ten deep breaths before opening the paper helps reduce adrenaline and cortisol (this chemical reduces memory).

Here are some helpful tips:

Stop Cramming!

I hear people all the time claiming they are good at cramming. Cramming is when you study the day or night before!

Truth is if you want to do your best on a test you need adequate time to study. You can always pick out who crammed and who studied by the quality of their work.

We don't want the test material to be in our short term memory, we want the material in our long term memory. Above all, you need to understand it more than memorise it!

Try to study around the same time every day to create a pattern. Start weeks before hand. Set time aside for studying next to your daily chores or homework!

Go somewhere where you are free from distraction. If you have to lock the door do it the point is you need peace and quiet or go find a library, a room or space where you will not be distracted by cars, people or friends visiting you! Also, for heaven's sake - do not sit in front of a window where you will be distracted by bird's or people walking by! This is a sure killer of concentration!
